The Quarry - Edmonton, AB

As it’s name suggests, The Quarry Golf Club is situated on a site formerly occupied by a gravel/ sand quarry in NE Edmonton, but this description simply does not do the site justice. A spectacular tract of land at the base of a 25 meter escarpment, the property features terrific views of the North Saskatchewan River on the northern border. Nearly forty-five acres of lakes frame an outstanding 27-hole layout which has been meticulously created to maintain the character of the original quarry site while providing a challenging and unique test of golf. Measuring over 7,500 yards in length from the championship tees, the course is stern enough for a PGA tour event, but will play equally well for golfers of all skill level from one of five sets of tee boxes. With 20 holes already shaped, construction and planting will be completed in summer of 2009 and the course will be a ‘must play’ in the summer of 2010.
